Sharps Safety In The Operating Room Still A Persistent Problem

August 15, 2018

Duluth, GA – MediPurpose, a medical products company specializing in sharps safety devices, released an article last week examining the number of sharps injuries in the surgical vs non-surgical setting from 2002 to 2016.

“The data shows that sharps injuries in the surgical setting continues to be a concern despite the passage of the Needlestick Safety and Prevention Act in 2001. We hope to do our part and reduce sharps injuries in the O.R. by having facilities adopt safety engineered devices like our Anzen™ safety scalpel” says Adeline Yi, product manager for the Anzen™ safety scalpel.

MediPurpose is currently seeking healthcare facilities who are interested in being beta test sites to further validate the device.
