New Research Shows that Surgeons Prefer a Sliding Blade Design Over a Sliding Shield Design

March 13, 2018

Duluth, GA – MediPurpose, a medical products company specializing in sharps safety devices, released an article today evaluating the two ways in which safety scalpels on the market cover the blade – a sliding blade design vs a sliding shield design.

“The survey which we conducted at ACS 2017 shows that surgeons have a preference for Anzen™’s moving blade design, as it is more familiar to users – like a box cutter” says Adeline Yi, product manager for the Anzen™ safety scalpel.

MediPurpose is currently seeking healthcare facilities who are interested in being beta test sites to further validate the device.
